Purpose:
This course is designed to teach personnel the proper techniques to find leaks in compressed gas systems and vacuum systems using an ultrasonic leak detector.
Objectives:
At the completion of this course, the student who actively participates will:
- Be able to explain what ultrasound is
- Operation the ultrasonic instrument
- Practice basic Scanning Techniques
- Adjust the instrument as the background changes and a potential leak is detected
- Be able to isolate a leak
- Overcome background noise
- Have performed an actual survey in an area of known leaks.

This is a hands-on course. Participants will use their plants leak detector to detect, isolate and tag leaks in compressed gas systems, vacuum systems, steam systems, etc.
