Balancing

Purpose:
The purpose of this course is to teach machinery repair and installation personnel and supervisors to correctly balance rotating machinery.

Objectives:
At the completion of this course, the student who actively participates will:::

  • Understand the importance of correct machine balance, including the answers to the following questions:
  • Describe how unbalance is measured
  • Have performed the necessary preliminary checks
  • Have performed 4-run balance job using the graphical method
  • Have performed a basic single plane balance job using the graphical method


Description:
This is a hands-on course. Participants will learn what causes unbalance, measure unbalance, detect and correct conditions that effect balance and perform several methods of balancing equipment.
